Woodside Cheese: Cheese with the Lot!

We know cheese and wine go hand in hand but what about our other favourite drops? Join queen of cheese Kris Lloyd on a culinary adventure matching some of Woodside Cheese Wrights’ limited edition cheeses with local gin, cider and sparkling wines.

Alexandrina Cheese Company: Wheels of Gold

Join chief cheesemaker Dan McCaul and his daughter Rebekah from the Fleurieu Peninsula’s Alexandrina Cheese Company for a tasting of their award-winning cheeses paired with local fine wines. Every one of their cheeses is handcrafted from the creamy milk produced from their much loved and individually named Jersey Cows using traditional methods and knowledge passed down from four generations.

It’s no secret that Coonawarra has become one of the New World’s greatest appellations. Spoil your tastebuds in this guided tour of selected Coonawarrra heritage wines that showcase their evolving nature and ageability – a fact endorsed by generations of collectors around the world.

The BeGINning

Join the team at Man of Spirit and Applewood Distillery for an interactive look into the world of spirits. In three, unique hands on experiences, you’ll have the opportunity to learn all about the art of making gin, including the use of raw botanical ingredients; discover the unique native components of Økar Amaro; and learn how to deliver an Aussie twist on the all-time favourite Espresso Martini.

The Fizz Whizz

Discover Deviation Road Sparkling at a fabulous tasting that looks at the company’s exciting cool climate sparkling wines. Hosted by vigneron and owner, Hamish Laurie, every sip of a Deviation Road Sparkling reveals a little of the mystery; a taste of the terroir, a glimpse at the season, a hint of the science and a wink to the heritage that crafts its existence.

New Wave Winemakers

Meet four of South Australia’s up-and-coming winemakers in this interactive tasting session hosted by sommelier Jonathan Brook from the likes of Bistro Blackwood and Restaurant Orana. Come prepared to ask questions or sit back and enjoy the banter before tasting and discussing four delicious wines, hand-selected by each winery.

 Udder Delights: A Royal Affair

Indulge your palate and meander through a selection of delicious handmade Udder Delights Cheese. Matched with fine local wines, this sensory journey will see you sample a wide range of cheeses culminating with Udder Delights renowned KING SAUL – Raw Milk Blue Cheese, the only Raw Milk Blue Cheese of its kind in Australia. Learn about cheese, its history and what to consider when enjoying cheese and wine.
